Watch how we BUILD your custom PCBAs!
We design, assemble, inspect, program, and test your printed circuit boards.
Printed circuit boards (PCBs) are the foundational building block of most modern electronic devices. Whether simple single layered boards used in your garage door opener, to the six layer board in your smart device, printed circuit boards are the foundation on which all of the other electronic components are assembled onto. Southrock offers SMT and thru hole assembly. If you have a new idea, or an existing board that you need reverse engineered, we can help.
All work conforms to the standard of quality your project needs at a price point your budget demands. Southrock Engineering Inc. offers same-day turnaround for prototyping and production in as few as 7 days.

Printed Circuit Board assembly from CONCEPT TO COMPLETION
Southrock has the experience to take your project through to production, either from your existing design or to design the product from scratch to your specifications. We can produce and organize design schematics, Bills Of Materials (BOMs), printed circuit board fabrication files (Gerber files), assembly details and any required certification information to facilitate final assembly.
PCBa Prototyping to Full production
We’ve helped thousands of businesses with their PCBs needs at any quantity from single unit boards to high volume production. Take your ideas from prototype to production all under one roof. Over the years we have successfully moved countless prototype assemblies to full production.

quick turnaround on high quality PCBa supply & Assembly
Whether you’re looking for full turnkey services or PCB assembly that uses your parts, our PCB expertise gives you the highest quality printed circuit boards you need and the quick turnaround time you demand. Our experience enables us to find and source component parts from vendors worldwide.
Frequently Asked Questions

In short, Printed Circuit Board vs Printed Circuit Board Assembly. PBCA has components on it. To elaborate, a PCB (Printed Circuit Board) is just the empty board with copper traces, like a road map for electricity. A PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) is a PCB with all the electronic parts attached, so it can actually work. Think of a pizza: the PCB is just the dough, the solder paste is the sauce, while the PCBA is a finished pizza with toppings.
Pick & Place is the process of picking up tiny electronic parts from a reel or tray, and placing them onto a PCB. It can be done by hand or with a precision machine that moves very quickly.
A PCB pad is a small metal area on a circuit board where electronic parts get attached. It’s like a parking space where a component sits and gets soldered in place, to create an electrical connection.
Manufacturers packaging of components that allow hundreds or thousands of parts to be on a plastic reel. It looks like a reel to reel audio tape cartridge.
Thru-hole means parts that go through small plated holes in the PCB before being soldered. This makes the parts extra secure. It’s often used for big components like switches, relays, LEDs, and connectors. Often hand soldered for added precision and durability.
A discrete device is a single, separate electronic part. It works by itself and isn’t built into a larger circuit inside a chip. Think of it like a LEGO brick—you can use it by itself or put it into an assembly.
