About Southrock Engineering

We produce both PCBs and cable assembly to IPC standards. IPC is a quality standard that is used by many industries covering documentation and record keeping along with electronic assembly and workmanship standards for PCBs, Wire and cable fabrication.

We are certified by UL & able to provide documentation and labels as required. UL certification covers both assembly standards, documentation and record keeping.

Our engineers have developed unique processes for each application, while our quality & production provide consistent workmanship & solid quality assurance. We manufacture with virtually all cable types.

Peter holds joint United States and United Kingdom Citizenship. Some of his education and career highlights include:

Higher National Certificate with Endorsements in Electronic Engineering Bournemouth College of Further education (UK) 1979. Peter worked for Associated Computer and Electronic Systems LTD, Poole (UK) from 1982 to 1994 as the Joint Managing Director. From 1994 to 2006 he enjoyed his role as Product Development Manager for SKC Inc, Eighty Four, PA. And In 2006 he founded Southrock Engineering Inc., Mesa, AZ

Eric Crookston serves as the Operations Manager at Southrock Engineering, where he oversees all day-to-day operations including PCB assembly (PCBA), custom cable assembly, and project management. With more than 30 years of experience in mechanical design, CAD modeling, and engineering management, Eric brings deep technical expertise and hands-on leadership to every project.

Eric earned his degree in Mechanical Design from Pittsburgh Technical College in 1993, specializing in 2D and 3D CAD. Early in his career, from 1993 to 2000, he designed maintenance-of-way (MOW) railroad equipment, focusing on CAD design, stress analysis, and reverse engineering.

From 2000 to 2006, Eric worked under Peter at SKC Inc. in Eighty Four, Pennsylvania, where he contributed to product development, including 3D design and prototyping. Between 2006 and 2013, Eric continued advancing his education in 3D CAD modeling while working on aircraft and high-end luxury vehicle interiors, refining his expertise in precision engineering and complex design systems.

In 2013, Eric reconnected with Peter to join Southrock Engineering, where he plays a key role in ensuring operational efficiency, quality assurance, and technical excellence across all engineering and manufacturing processes. Since joining Southrock Engineering, Eric has transformed the company’s operations, modernizing legacy processes, implementing automation systems, and streamlining production from start to finish.
